ABOUT BOHUSFEST
During the pandemic Said Belhaj found himself stuck in Sweden for an extended period and was looking for something creative to keep him busy. The result was the development of five new sectors in Bohuslän with well over fifty new routes in total.
Once the main work was done he wanted to officially announce these new sectors to the public and voilà, the idea for a festival in Bohuslän was born. Said wanted to create a meeting place for climbers and non climbers alike, so music became a central element of the event - Bohuslän Climbing and Music Festival.
BOHUSFEST 2024 is over for this year, we welcome you all back in 2025.
Bohusfest is an event open for all, climbers (of all levels) and non-climbers alike.
This year you can enjoy musical performances on two stages, both indoors and outdoors, talks by climbing legends, good food, movies and more. Since the festival has its origin in Bohuslän we want to keep a connection with the tradition and always have at least one lecturer each year with a connection to Bohuslän as well as live Swedish folk music and dance.
Our sponsors are on site during the festival, displaying the best new products right now. Bohuslän Climbing Club will be there to give all necessary info about climbing in the area. If you purchase the full weekend package this includes a goodie bag filled by our sponsors.
The location for Bohusfest is Evja Folkets Hus, a cultural center built in 1925 which offers two stages, kitchen, bathroom facilities, forest, greenery and a lake just 5’ away by foot.
